For foreign nationals whose countries are subject to visa formalities, their travel documents must be accompanied by visas issued by the Moroccan administration. The stay in Morocco for tourist reasons is limited to three months for foreigners who are exempt from the visa and to the duration of the validity of the visa for those who are subject to it . In the event that the foreigner wishes to extend his stay on Moroccan territory beyond the validity period of his visa or the three-month period, if he is not subject to this obligation, he is required to request authorization from the competent Moroccan authority ( Direction Générale de Sûreté Nationale ) in order to avoid being in an irregular situation. > General Directorate of National Security > List of visa-exempt countries Visa DRIVER'S LICENSE Drivers of foreign nationality can drive with a valid driving license issued in their country, for a maximum period of one year from the start of their stay in Morocco. At the end of this one-year period, holders of a license issued abroad must take the tests to obtain a Moroccan driving license or request the exchange of their foreign license for a Moroccan license. . Drivers of foreign nationality with an international driving license can drive on national territory during the period of validity of this license. However, this period cannot exceed one year, as indicated above. Holding an international driving license is strongly encouraged : it facilitates in particular the formalities of exchange in the event of permanent installation in Morocco. Permis de conduire CUSTOMS Vehicle entries and exits are recorded by the customs services. On leaving the territory, it is necessary to ensure that the vehicle is properly seized upon departure, as its owner may subsequently be accused of having sold it fraudulently. Any vehicle entered for a tourist stay can benefit from a temporary import authorization valid for 3 months (and renewable once). No owner or driver of a vehicle, on whose passport this temporary authorization has been mentioned, may leave Moroccan territory without his vehicle (even in the event of theft or accident) if the situation of the latter has not has been regularized beforehand by the payment of customs duties. These, depending on the category, range between 17.5 % and 50 % of the value of the new vehicle. When you have been vaccinated with the 2 required doses, you will then be assigned a QR code which must be presented to all airport customs. Without this code, a PCR test of less than 48 hours will be required before boarding a flight or on a boat, to and from Morocco. No other vaccinations are required for travel from Europe but some are recommended. Make sure you are up to date with your usual vaccinations, such as the diphtheria-tetanus-poliomyelitis (DTP) vaccination and the rubella-mumps-measles (MMR) vaccination in children. Vaccination against tuberculosis is also desirable. We offer excursions that take place in the desert and all our organized tours also take you to the dunes. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends, in addition to universal food hygiene measures, vaccination against hepatitis A and typhoid fever in order to avoid any risk of contamination of diseases transmitted by water or by contaminated food. For extended stays in more rural parts of Morocco, the World Health Organization (WHO) also recommends that tourists get vaccinated against rabies. It is strictly forbidden for non-Muslims to enter Muslim places of worship. Only the high places of tourism can be visited. It is recommended : avoid discussing sensitive topics of a political or religious nature ; refrain from comments that could be interpreted as criticism of the King or the royal family ; avoid drinking alcohol in public ; to adopt clothing that respects local customs ; at the beach, to prefer wearing a one-piece swimsuit. You cannot buy alcohol, much less consume it in public, during Ramadan. It is advisable, particularly during this period, to adopt decent clothing. MANNERS Homosexuality is considered a crime in Morocco (punishable by three years in prison) and heterosexual relations outside marriage are prohibited (one year in prison). BERBER CULTURE The Berbers would be present in the Maghreb for more than 5000 years. Mysterious people, many historians have tried to define their origins without ever succeeding. Persian, Median, Canaanite, Indian origins. The Berbers are found everywhere… and nowhere. The word Berber comes from the Greek Barbaros which designated at the time all “non-Greek” people, therefore foreigners. Nowadays the Berbers prefer the term " Amazigh which means "free-man". There are still many Berber tribes, which are so different that it is almost impossible to speak of this people in a uniform way. Among the best known tribes are the Rifains in northern Morocco, the Chleuhs who are found in the south-west of the High Atlas, the Anti-Atlas, the Souss valley, the Kabyles in northern Algeria, or the Tuaregs in the Sahara. According to the latest figures, there would be around 40% of Berber speakers in Morocco, out of a total population of 33 million. Spanish is widespread in the northern and southern regions of Morocco. The Amazigh language, whose alphabet is Tifinagh is the common heritage of all Moroccans and it is an extremely widespread language throughout southern Morocco. Classical or literary Arabic is used in the administrative environment. The language used orally by Moroccans is the Darijah (Moroccan dialect). It is a mixture of Arabic, Amazigh, French and Spanish. To mingle with the local populations and take full advantage of your stay, these are certain words in Darijah that you need to master. This will allow you to stand out from the crowd of classic tourists and show that you are making an effort in the country. But don't panic, French is spoken almost everywhere because it has been one of the compulsory languages taught in schools since the establishment of the French protectorate in 1912. RECHARGE SIM CARDS You will find local carriers upon arrival at all airports. Not only do they have kiosks and small shops, but often promotions are held where they will have representatives with clipboards containing SIM cards with 20 MAD free credit. The Moroccan operators are: Maroc Telecom, Inwi and Orange. Maroc Telecom would seem to be the most reliable provider with the most robust network, although the speeds offered by Orange are noticeably faster in the desert. If you don't get a free sim card at the airport, almost any small grocery store (hanout) can top up your phone with a 20 MAD (dirham) sim card that will get you some phone calls, but that's about almost everything. When you charge your phone with the pre-paid card, make sure your internet is charged (in Morocco, when you charge your phone, there are two options: phone calls only or a mini internet package and it's not charged the same price on the card). RAIL NETWORK The rail network of the Office National des Chemins de Fer (ONCF) covers a large part of the country, and the coach company Supratours takes over when your destination city does not have a station, which is the case for come to us in Tagounite for example. ONCF offers you the possibility of plan your trip and buy your ticket online . The High Speed Train (TGV) serves the Casablanca-Tangier axis in just 2 hours. COACH If you choose to travel by coach, the Compagnie de Transport Marocains (CTM) and other private companies offer you all the necessary comfort to make your trip enjoyable. TAXI If the taxi is reserved for the wealthiest people or in case of force majeure in France, in Morocco it is almost a public transport and therefore very accessible. We take the small taxis in the stations, when there is one nearby, or by waving to them. To wave at the taxi in Morocco, you must indicate the ground with your index finger if the taxi is empty, or indicate the direction in which you want to go if there is already someone inside. Grand taxis , or shared taxis, usually make long journeys, and they are the only ones allowed out of towns. J3 : L'aventure nomade en plein désert sur les dunes du Juif 2 options : soit 2 à 3 heures de marche dans le désert avec les dromadaires + bivouac sauvage ou seulement 1h de balade à dromadaire et nuit sous tente dans un campement fixe équipé de sanitaires - Option 1 : départ en 4x4 aux alentours de 10:00 pour les majestueuses dunes de sable fin dans le désert de M’Hamid El Guizlane. Nous arriverons dans un campement de nomades sur l’erg Lihoudi, plus souvent appelé dunes du Juif. Quartier libre jusqu’à la pause déjeuner pour grimper sur les dunes et passer du bon temps en famille ou entre amis à s'éclater comme des fous. - Puis départ à 14:00 pour la randonnée pédestre avec la caravane de dromadaires. Vous pourrez ainsi apprécier toute la beauté des paysages et ressentir l’atmosphère si envoutante du désert pendant environ 2 heures de marche (ou un peu plus selon votre rythme). Vous serez encadrés en toute sécurité par notre équipe bienveillante sur place, et les enfants pourront monter avec les parents sur les dromadaires s’ils le souhaitent. - Vous poserez ensuite le bivouac sauvage en plein cœur des dunes pour y passer la nuit, histoire de goûter à l’expérience unique d’une nuit dehors sous les étoiles du désert ! J4 : S'enfoncer dans le grand Sahara en 4x4 jusqu'à Chegaga et passer la nuit sous la tente aux pieds des dunes environ 3 heures de 4x4 sur la journée à travers les plus belles dunes du désert et un somptueux coucher de soleil sur une mer de sable à l'infini - Aujourd’hui, départ en 4x4 pour une belle journée dans les profondeurs du grand Sahara. Nous viendrons vous chercher directement sur votre campement sauvage et nous emprunterons l'ancienne piste caravanière de Tombouctou pour rejoindre le site de Chegaga où culminent les plus hautes dunes du Maroc. - En chemin, passage par une réserve protégée d’autruches du désert initiée par le prince du Qatar. Ouvrez grand vos yeux et soyez de bons explorateurs ! Ce sont d'impressionnants oiseaux très curieux et ils viendront volontiers vous saluer ! - Arrivée sur le campement aux pieds des dunes pour se restaurer et y passer le reste de la journée jusqu’au lendemain. - Installation sous vos tentes traditionnelles avec sanitaires partagés à proximité. - Après le déjeuner, vous aurez tout le temps d’aller faire des glissades à volonté sur les dunes jusqu’au moment du soleil couchant, parenthèse féérique suspendue dans le temps et à ne rater sous aucun prétexte ! - Au dîner, un bon tajine traditionnel suivi d’une belle soirée animée autour du feu de camp avec les nomades. C'est un lieu de ressourcement incontestable à l’époque des caravanes du désert qui arrivaient d’Afrique noire pour transiter leurs marchandises jusqu’au Nord du Maghreb. - Possibilité de caler en option une balade en quad à ce moment-là (à réserver sur la fiche d’inscription). - Si c'est un jeudi, nous nous arrêterons au souk de Tagounite pour faire quelques courses puis arrivée à la kasbah en fin de matinée. Aware of the ecological challenges of our beautiful planet, all our projects will be shot in an eco-participatory approach to the protection of man and his natural environment. SOLAR ENERGY Here, it is obvious to want to enjoy the sun which shines more than 360 days a year. We therefore want to supply our kasbah with green electricity and wish to install solar panels very soon for the entire domestic part in order to operate in self-sufficiency. This installation would also allow us to supply a large immersion pump to irrigate the date palm farm with a drip system. We have quotes and are now looking to finance the project. THE IMPORTANCE OF WATER Water is precious in this region, and our kasbah is only supplied every other day by a municipal reservoir. We must therefore adopt a reasoned consumption and store it in a tank to enjoy it all the time at home. As for the crops, they are supposed to be fed by water from the Ouarzazate dam when it wants to open its floodgates!! Which unfortunately only happens a few times a year and it is far too little to irrigate all the agricultural land... This is why we must act intelligently so as not to let all this extraordinary heritage die. The only way to achieve this is to dig a well and adopt a reasoned consumption so as not to waste water unnecessarily. It will be necessary to dig a well deep enough to find water on a water table, but it is possible and achievable! We intend to open a participatory project to complete this project. Especially since we intend to install a natural swimming pool on part of the land. This will give added value to the property and will delight tourists looking for fresh air in the hot season! PHYTO-PURIFICATION Finally, water is a natural resource that absolutely must be preserved and there are now systems to achieve this. We would therefore like to install a phyto-purification system for wastewater to reuse it on agricultural land and thus reduce our consumption of drinking water. Et surtout dosez bien les épices, c'est le secret d'une bonne cuisine orientale qui rendra votre plat encore bien plus savoureux ! Chacun aura une cuillère pour manger la part qui se trouve en face de lui. Les légumes seront disposés tout autour de la semoule qui sera dressée au centre du plat. Vous commencerez alors par les légumes que vous mélangerez à la semoule avec la cuillère. C'est une astuce pour faire manger les légumes plus facilement aux enfants... Tant qu'ils n'auront pas fini, ils ne pourront accéder à la viande disposée au sommet du plat ! Nous européens, on devrait en prendre de la graine, c'est le cas de le dire !! Les anciennes mamas berbères ont pour habitude de manger le couscous en faisant des petites boulettes de semoule qu'elles avaleront avec gourmandise et sans s'étouffer, hihi ! Ce met est traditionnellement servi avec du lieben, lait fermenté, qui permettra de bien digérer le couscous. Vous la visiterez tous (1 heure de visite guidée) avant de reprendre la route du désert par les plus belles oasis du royaume dans la vallée du Drâa. - Nous arriverons en fin de journée dans l’oasis Nasrate à Tagounite, petit village berbère et l’un des derniers points de ravitaillement avant d’entrer dans le désert de M’Hamid El Guizlane. Vous serez hébergés en pension complète dans notre authentique kasbah (maison organique en terre battue) située sur l’exploitation familiale de palmiers dattiers. Vous aurez le temps de prendre une bonne douche avant de nous retrouver autour d’un délicieux tajine pour faire plus ample connaissance. Puis vous regagnerez vos chambres pour bien vous reposer et débuter le stage en pleine forme ! J2 (lundi 13/11) : Matinée danse et visite des petits villages dans les oasis dans l'après-midi - Même si vous venez pour vous dépenser, vous êtes aussi en vacances et on ne vous imposera pas de rythme effréné ! Donc un p’tit dej copieux avec de bonnes confitures maison vous sera servi à partir de 08:30 tous les jours. - Matinée zen pour vous imprégner des lieux et profiter du cadre sous les palmiers. - 1er cours de danse vers 11:00. - Pause déjeuner dans le jardin. - Quartier libre jusqu'à 16:00 puis nous irons faire une balade en 4x4 pour visiter les petits villages de l’oasis et le plus vieux ksar de la région avant d’admirer le coucher de soleil sur les dunes de Bougaïwar. C’est un véritable privilège de sillonner ces endroits encore bien préservés du tourisme de masse ! - Retour à la kasbah - Dîner animé sous le patio avec les danseurs et percussionnistes. J3 (mardi 14/11) : Matinée danse - piscine en début d'après-midi et reprise des danses au coucher du soleil - Petit-déjeuner et matinée libre. - Déjeuner à l’ombre des palmiers. - Après-midi détente au bord de la piscine d'un riad traditionnel tout proche de la maison (pensez à vos maillots de bain !) - Retour vers 16:30 et cours de danse jusqu’au crépuscule pour profiter de cette lumière singulière quand le soleil vient effleurer l’horizon…. - Douche pendant que Saïd, le maître des lieux, allumera un beau feu au milieu du jardin. L’ambiance se prête à la fête autour d’un bon repas devant les flammes et pour les plus courageux, laissez-vous tenter par quelques pas de danse sous les étoiles avec votre professeur qui se fera un plaisir de vous accompagner au rythme du djembé. J4 (mercredi 15/11) : Journée consacrée à la danse, la détente dans le jardin et au bien-être avec un massage sur commande - Atelier confection d'un pagne - Journée réservée à la danse pour préparer un petit spectacle que vous nous offrirez le dernier soir avant le départ. Mais ne prenez pas peur, chacun dansera à son rythme et vous pourrez aussi flâner tranquillement dans le jardin autour d’un bon verre de thé à la menthe ou d’un délicieux jus de fruits frais. Dans l’après-midi, la maîtresse de maison vous apportera l’une de ses spécialités pâtissières orientales pour vous redonner de l’énergie ! - Et puis si vous êtes tentés, vous pourrez même confectionner votre pagne, costume traditionnel que vous enfilerez lors du spectacle pour vous immerger totalement dans l’ambiance !… sans doute un moment ludique avec fous rires à la clé 🤣 - Et comme nous voulons vous chouchouter au maximum, vous pourrez bénéficier sur commande d'un fabuleux massage thérapeutique aux huiles essentielles… 50 minutes de pur bonheur !! (50€ la séance à régler sur place). J5 (jeudi 16/11) : visite du souk de Tagounite - campement chez les nomades dans le désert de M'Hamid - cours de danse dans l'après-midi et balade à dromadaire - Aujourd’hui, nous vous emmènerons visiter le souk traditionnel du jeudi à Tagounite. - Puis direction le désert, nous nous installerons dans un campement sur l’erg Lihoudi pour y déjeuner et passer la nuit. - Cours de danse dans l’après-midi… vous allez voir, c’est une sensation unique de danser pieds nus dans le sable ! - Enfin, vous profiterez d’une jolie balade à dromadaire au moment du soleil couchant… une parenthèse féerique source d’inspiration… - Dîner et soirée magique sous les autour du feu de camp avec les nomades et notre belle troupe de danse mandingue pour animer la soirée. - Nuit sous la zghiba, tente traditionnelle berbère que vous partagerez à 3 ou 4 personnes. J6 (vendredi 17/11) : désert de Chegaga - déjeuner chez les nomades - retour à la kasbah - spectacle de danse le soir + découverte danses traditionnelles berbères - Départ en 4x4 à 10:00 par l’ancienne piste des caravanes marchandes de Tombouctou, pour explorer les profondeurs du Sahara jusqu’à l’erg Chegaga. Ici, vous grimperez sur les plus hautes dunes du Maroc avec des dénivelés pouvant atteindre 300 mètres ! C’est un moment de décontraction totale et une irrésistible sensation de plénitude. - En chemin, déjeuner chez une véritable famille de nomades. Si nous arrivons au bon moment, vous aurez peut-être la chance de déguster leur délicieux pain chaud, cuit dans le sable sous la braise. - Visite à l’oasis sacrée Oum-Lalâag, un lieu chargé d’histoire qui a une importance capitale pour les nomades, celle de donner la vie grâce à sa source… l’eau, ce trésor si précieux dans le désert. - Retour à la kasbah dans l'oasis pour profiter de votre dernière soirée. - Ce voyage, c’est aussi la découverte de nouvelles cultures au travers la danse. Vous êtes en terre berbère, et pour l’occasion, nous inviterons quelques danseurs du village pour vous montrer une variété de danses traditionnelles toutes différentes d’une ethnie berbère à l’autre. - Votre aventure tire à sa fin et pour clôturer dignement cette belle semaine, rien de tel qu’un bon couscous que nous dégusterons tous ensemble dans le jardin autour du feu de bois. - Et puis ce sera le moment de vous mettre en scène pour nous montrer que vous avez été de bons élèves ! Mais encore une fois, aucune pression !! Vous êtes ici pour vous amuser avant tout ! J7 (samedi 18/11) : retour à Marrakech ou Ouarzazate Petit-déjeuner tôt à 6:00 pour ne pas rater le bus qui vous reconduira directement à Ouarzazate et Marrakech selon option. Départ du bus à 7:10 à Tagounite | arrivée à la gare routière des bus CTM de Ouarzaate à 11:50 et 16:30 pour Marrakech. Vous voyagerez dans un bus tout confort avec la compagnie CTM (billet réservé à l’avance par nos soins et transmis par mail environ 15 jours avant le départ). Pour information, le vol Ouarzazate/Marseille opéré par Ryanair est à 15:20, ce qui vous laisse largement le temps pour vous enregistrer. Il suffira de prendre un taxi en sortant de la gare routière, il y en a tout le temps à disposition. Et il vous emmènera à l'aéroport pour environ 10€ soit 100 dirhams maximum. Pour les autres destination, s'en référer aux compagnies aériennes, merci. detailed description Prolongez le plaisir et laissez-vous chouchouter avec une extension en pension complète dans notre kasbah après votre stage ! 30€/jour/personne Visitez notre kasbah pour en savoir + Profitez d'un massage saharien à l'huile d'argan chaude pour régénérer, réparer et nourrir intensément. 50€ le massage de 50 minutes Réalisé par une masseuse/thérapeute sur place à la kasbah, elle utilise les mains et les avant-bras de manière circulaire sur l’ensemble du corps, stimulant ainsi la circulation sanguine et la détente musculaire. Le massage se termine par le visage avec quelques gouttes d’huile essentielle de rose au Chakra du cœur pour parfaire votre évasion désert.
